I live in Odessa, Ukraine, and I have had to go to shelter from missile strikes and suicide drone attacks several times in just the past few days. I have also lived in Russia. It can be awkward when the Ukrainians see my old Russian visa in my passport when I cross the border. Where do you live? Ukraine? Russia? How close are you to this issue personally?
