Many years ago I worked at a startup where the CEO was a former CS professor. While at the university, he worked with a somewhat legendary guy who ran the CS school's IT infra. Somehow wires got crossed in recruiting while sourcing the candidate, and another guy with _the exact same name_ who _also worked at the university in IT_ but for a different school got hired after what must've been a perfunctory interview. The startup had a lot of other problems, that one was the most awkward. It folded not very long afterwards. |
