This infrastructure isn’t needed for two person conversations. What you’ve missing is that in a group situation, you’re not just trusting the group leader, but everyone in the call. The larger the group and the lower the barriers to entry, the worse it is. That said, I’m not sure that leaking an IP address is a big deal for most people. (It might be important in Ukraine, though.) |
