It's a good question.
Since they disabled the automatic deployment it has been causing some issues and I'm revalidating using Heroku.
The main reason is the ease of use
I don't know in terms of pricing. But I moved a couple of free heroku apps to fly.io and it was pretty smooth. They provide a migration guide specific to people moving out of heroku.
Would you suggest something alternative? AWS?
