It's excellent for those of us who aren't atheists, too. I've picked up the recent University of Chicago translation of these, and cultivated the habit of reading a letter or two every morning with my coffee. It's an excellent use of time. I also found Seneca's "On the Shortness of Life" completely recalibrated my thinking about the passage of time and how I spend the time allotted me. |
