> I think it's like that because they had to hack it on top of Javascript This is the source of most of typescript's flaws, but the mediocre type syntax was a deliberate choice: it's all erased at compile time, so javascript imposes no constraints. My guess is that it's just because many of the original typescript devs were on the C# language team. |
