I don't know the specifics of your situation but I can relate to always feeling like I am about to get the axe. I get my bonuses every year, I have never been laid off even though others who I thought more accomplished were, and I always get decent to good reviews, but still on the day to day I rarely feel like I am doing well. Maybe really have a hard think or even talk with your manager about this? I have bluntly asked exactly where I stand when I feel like I am underperforming. It is part of their job to make you feel secure, if you are afraid of being fired they are doing a poor job at management. Up until the second they axe you your managers job is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. |
