Yes, In a very strict sense it is true for many experienced programmers and their domains of expertise. So when a expert embedded systems guy tells me that he will not touch C++ for his project, i understand and only ask him to look at C++ as a "Better C" and nothing more. All features are not equal and some are obviously more beneficial than others eg. simple user defined types i.e. class value types vs class hierarchies. A good example is Linus Torvalds opposition to the use of C++ in the Kernel. |
