That's true, but at the same time, modern C++ bears about the same resemblance to the C++ that many (if not most) of us learned years ago, as modern English bears to Middle English. People have been trying to make the language safer and more palatable for multiple decades now, so it seems reasonable to allow Sutter to have a go at it. |
