I think this is mostly because the core team has been working on 4.0 for a couple of years now so I would imagine that PRs get overlooked.
It's a popular project and there's not a lot of people on the team so yeah it builds up. I have PR open since 2020 (small change for a bit of qol) still hasn't been merged and I believe that there will be major conflicts now. |
