We are building an online store for live pets and looking for our first engineer to develop the site. About Us:
- A seasoned team operating for over a year selling pet jellyfish at jellyfishart.com moving into all pets
- Substantial revenue
- Won Product of the Year at our industry's largest trade show
- YC W12
- Raised money on one of Kickstarter's top-10 highest grossing campaigns
- Disrupting a massive industry ($50B/yr. in U.S.) that hasn't experienced online innovation yet
- Work out of a new space in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco About Your Role:
- Build out our ecommerce store for live pets; ordering process will be customized to make buying live animals online worry-free and idiot-proof
- Read site analytics and build pricing models to direct inventory expansion
- First engineer hire
- Move from engineer into hybrid engineer/manager role as we grow
- Design your own workspace
- Compensation package includes attractive compensation and equity About You:
- Demonstrated fluency in javascript, html, css and at least 2 of the 3: Python, Ruby, PHP
- Built elegant ecommerce stores before
- Experience driving serious search traffic through SEO, SEM and affiliate networks
- Like working on a small, rapidly-expanding team
- Value flexibility, impact, creativity, and pride in your work
- Worked at a startup before
