I'm no longer doing IT professionally. Bootstrapping my own homestead on a <40 acre parcel. If you already know how much work it is and you want to do it then do it. But understand there is a bit of a culture shock. I had to adapt a lot. And a lot of harsh lessons on reality came down the pike. It's not for the faint of heart. It's dirty and bloody and uncomfortable at times. But for me i wouldn't go back to the city. The city is full of dysfunction, and dysfunctional people. And you don't notice it until you leave. Harsh reality awaits those who go down this path. |
