No matter how you put it, paying a subscription fees to a private company to access basic emergency services is unethical. There is a reason 911 works even if you donot have a SIM card. I am not asking Apple to do any better, but this a place where government needs to step in and form some regulations. |

If it was a basic emergency service, it would probably be accessible without a brand new $800 or more phone.
