It’s not economics - it’s a mandate. It’s the other way around. California is the biggest car market on the planet. All car makers target California (and to some extent Texas), so whatever California will buy, carmakers will build. And since California has outlawed gas cars by 2035, auto makers have declared they will stop making them by 2035. |
