A printer is capex (lasts a long time), but as a consumer device has to be low priced. So it’s hard to stay alive as a printer manufacturer. This is in no way a defense of the printer industry’s odious tactics! I’m just pointing out the situation that made unscrupulous people consider those tactics. |
