I have tinnitus and hearings aids help a lot. I only have mild hearing loss (35db at high frequencies in my worse ear), but it matches the frequency of my tinnitus.

35 sounds pretty impactful though. The physical limit of ear plugs COMBINED with ear muffs is 36db NRR.

Well up to 25 dbHL is considered "normal" hearing for an adult. Without a hearing test I wouldn't have known I had any hearing loss.
