We're a US (New York) based team that opened an SWE office in Istanbul this year. We haven't dealt with sponsorship in Turkiye yet. The workday overlap has worked out great; more than sufficient for standup and requirements collaboration. Rest of the work happens async. My wife is also Turkish.
