Yeah the big downside is the exponential explosion in e-waste with all the LCDs that went obsolete within a few years, with no real resale market since everyone is one click away from getting a brand new one on Amazon. I'm still running a 13 year old LCD TV in a guest bedroom. Just the thought of trying to either sell or see it end up in a landfill upsets me. |
