Because unlike airline and medical industry, the auto industry does not have regulation around user experience. Normalized functionality is required by law for air and medical to reduce risk of operator error. The auto industry does not have to consider a confused operator killing someone else. That risk is on the individual driver, not a hospital, airline, or airport. |
