This for sure is an interesting anecdote, but doesn't seem to directly relate to the contents of the article, which refers to urban driving. Navigating an urban area with named streets doesn't even need a map and compass, just a map is fine, and it is something most people in developed countries did up until about two decades ago when car GPS units began to roll out. |
