Interestingly enough, in Southern California a significant percentage of border agents are Chicanos. Border security and immigration policy isn’t a race issue, no matter what certain ideologues would have you believe. It’s interesting to me that many Chicano families can trace their history back to the old Spanish Empire. They’ve literally been Americans longer than nearly all Anglos. |
