| Interesting. Some questions I'd ask if I was evaluating a product like this … - Do you make it in colors other than black? Very little in my house is black … - What's the "usable area?" (excluding the charging slots) - What's the back look like, in case I have this in an open room? Is there a lip to prevent things from sliding off the back? - Why a glass surface? Glass is a poor writing surface, retains heat/cold, generally works poorly for optical mice. - How do the widgets differ from the ones on my computer? - How do I interact with the widgets? - Can I move the screen's viewable area … if I work with my keyboard close to the base of the monitor, will the keyboard cover the widgets? - If I spill, will it fry the all-over wireless charging? (and will it flow in to the AC ports in the back?) - Is there any harm (to me, other devices) in working on top of a wireless charging surface? - Can I place the back flush against the wall, or do I need to allow a clearance for the power cover to open? I see some nice details: the extra space in the power bank area for hubs, drives, raspberry pis, etc and the horizontal slots under the desktop surface for hanging/attaching things. I like the idea of all-over charging, and like the aesthetic choices as well. The core requirements of "Desk" are largely unchanged, so you'll have to nail the small quality-of-life details if you want people to pony up 2-3x the "Minimum Viable (adjustable) Desk" amount of ~$600 … while avoiding people's divergent personal preferences on what a workspace must be. Good luck … [edited to format bullets properly] |
