Visiting farms is nice to get an impression of how the real system works, but IMO it does little to help You understand the principles. You have to know those ahead to be able to grasp what the farmer actually does and why. Seeing a growing a plant in a glass from a seed over multiple weeks does just that. Once You understand / see for yourself why plants need water, air and nutrition, You'll see that farm in a completely different way. |
