Parent is calling it out, not doing it themselves. The topic itself is deeply rooted in sexism. These kinds of transgressions against women often get drowned in debates about technicalities, which end up dominating the conversation and shifting attention away from the real problem - in this case bodily autonomy. So I for one actually applaud parent for calling it out. |
