I feel this way too but the other day, I was reading an op-ed with a bunch of in-line links. I decided to click on the links to see if the linked page actually say what the link anchor and surrounding text hinted at. In many cases, there was no connection at all! Usually, these links are used to boost on-site SEO and sometimes, to seem authoritative and well-read on the topic at hand. |
