well, given that these predate that interview by some time, probably not.

if you mean they are being mentioned here because they were mentioned there, yeah, probably.

I remember running "finger [e-mail]" multiple times per day to keep tabs on what he had to say.

sadly finger is insecure and no longer used; it, and other early Unix tools of the time were very neat. and very insecure.
