This guy is a glorified gym teacher and runs an MLM. It's astounding he's become so popular. Many, many people try the "I state harsh opinions and do stereotypical manly things and stereotypical smart things" including leather jackets, hot chicks, smoking cigars, whisky out of snifter, boxing, chess, living in a foreign country, etc.

Just to state the obvious: I don't like this man or approve of anything he does. Only impressed he's this successful at it. Definitely struck a particular chord.
