As far as I understand, the freeze is applying to standard SWE roles at levels below staff. If you're interviewing for something more specialized (security, sre, production engineering), the freeze may not apply to you. The hiring pipeline for those specialized roles is comparatively quite narrow and competitive, it doesn't make sense to squeeze them. |
