| I often thought the same till I got a front facing finger print unlocker. 1) When my phones mounted in the car, it makes it a lot easier to unlock vs the back Counter point: You can and probably should set your phone to unlock by it's self when plugged into your car. 2) It makes it a lot easier to unlock the phone when it's lying down on your desk or table Counter point: Same as above, set your phone to not be locked in a familiar space either via Wifi home or similar. 3) As another commenter pointed out, I use finger print unlock for MFA more than anything else at this point and having it on the front screen vs. the back is very handy. 4) Though there's no doubt I get my finger print scan 'wrong' more often than I did on the front vs when it was on the back. I don't mind it one way or another but I thought my feelings about a finger unlock under the screen to be more divisive but it hasn't been as shit as I thought it would. I.e., I still find the lack of a headphone jack to be a much stronger pain point. |
