Think of all the money that could be saved if interlocking boards of directors and corporate executives could be replaced by AI? No more need to pay bloated salaries and ludicrous bonuses and provid ridiculous 'golden parachute' contracts to top executives.

The discussion about AI always focuses on replacing the leaves of the trees in corporate heirarchies, but the value obtained by replacing the root seems to be much higher.

One could also plausible replace shareholders with AI, although then one might start to question the whole structure of investment capitalism... maybe AI would be better at making long-term decisions about the distribution of capital to prospective business operations than some group of Wall Street funds are?

Perhaps we'll see AI-managed pension funds in the near future with significantly better results (and more interest in the long-term health of the outfits they invest in) soon?
