As the other poster said, it's due to other countries confounding the data.
Check this for example: https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2022/#section-salary-salary-... You can specify the location - the salaries are more inline with what you'd expect if you select the USA. Also note that 8,540 of 37,546 respondents are from the US - so MOST of this data is not relevant to the USA. |
