I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. I've been in their irc channel for hours at a time, and all the community seems to be doing is helping people with their javascript noob questions, even if they aren't related to Mootools.

The documentation is rather straightforward as well. It's pretty easy to figure out what something does.
