Online: Google alerts saved as RSS feeds that I subscribe to in my reader (Inoreader), and then niche twitter accounts or subreddits that can exist and contain good intel and opinions.
In person: network with people in the industry and have candid conversations, maybe some light quid pro quo intel sharing (above board, nothing confidential)
