Why? Comcast can't remotely brick your phone, lock you out of your email address, or kill your small business on an automated whim.

Sigh, let me clarify: I trust Google more with my DNS queries than I do Comcast.
Again, why? What bad thing could Comcast do to you? I know they're like a regional semi-monopoly, but they don't control anything else in your internet life.
