It looks like the scale rating the energy efficiency of the fridges aged out of being useful. From the article: "Eventually, more than half of the products on the market were labelled A++ and A+++". The change means a fridge that would be an A in the old system is now a D in the new one. They are hoping that the scale will provide a more accurate idea of the performance of the fridge |
