What’s the difference between this and something like Stack Exchange or Quora? It seems pretty similar in both scope and execution.

I think it's oriented towards simpler questions, “solve my homework for me” type.

https://math.stackexchange.com/ might be most relevant for more serious questions (and https://mathoverflow.net/ for research level discussion).

Yes, the main mission of this project is what notpushkin said. StackExchange or Quora not our main competitors.

I'm wondering how you'd get people to solve all the different problems though, given they are not interesting and the askers aren't paying for them.
