It depends if they're deficient in terms of:
- Not protecting the team from unreasonable demands and/or blame from the organization
- Doesn't ensure the work environment stays civilized for all
- Doesn't lead or set an example where necessary There are genuinely nice, civilized, respectable managers who aren't "trying too hard". |
