Because the color contrast of the site makes that banner shrink into the softer background. The sharp color scheme of black with bright pink combined with the font is so garish my eyes divert from it. I also think putting that text off to the far upper right on a page designed for left to right, top to bottom English readers means that text is in no mans land. On a wide screen readers eyes will move to the left and down to navigate. It feels that your attempt to make the banner "pop" had an opposite effect. You need to completely rethink the design of the banner in terms of color, placement, and text. |
