I really love tailscale for my private network. Nevertheless, I still hope they will revisit support for proper linux kernel wireguard sometime in the near future. This would allow to ditch separate meshing technologies for connecting server nodes (and routing into separate subnets via a tailscale subrouter node). Best of both worlds - ease of use and performance. I really only started to have a look at other tools (like netmaker, netbird, innernet, wesher) because of these performance caveats (wireguard-go). https://github.com/tailscale/tailscale/issues/426 |
