True that. One particularly odd situation is common in data engineering circles. Most DE descriptions require something like "experience with Java/Scala/Python". Notice that one of them is from a completely different family than the others. Very frequently nowadays they actually have a predominantly Python code base. Searching by simply "Java" or "Scala" is nonsensical for exactly this reason. They are mentioned in a large number of job ads just in case. Even if they are not actually used. |
