i think it's when you try to build something complex with angular that you can see advantages come to fruition. the opinionated structure can be quite an advantage when you're working with bigger teams/projects, as it can keep code more consistent/familiar/predictable, so when revisiting a project a few months later, you generally know where to find things quickly
