Seconded.

My personal setup is a tt-rss instance set up on my personal server, with a Fever plugin, which allows me to use it with other readers—currently ReadKit on my Mac, and Reeder on iOS. I very rarely access my tt-rss webpage directly; it's just there to provide centralized-under-my-control syncing of the feeds and their read status.

Likewise! I also have some custom code which downloads hackernews links and run readability to extract content. Doesn’t work 100% of the times but it’s good enough for me. :) https://github.com/nova77/hackernews_rss
