This is just patently untrue. Matthew Walker has been on a half dozen podcasts addressing this and almost all the data available in sleep research seems to suggest a lot of the same shit. Get 8 hours of sleep. No you can't function on 6. You just think you can. Have a sleep study done to see if you have sleep apnea, need a CPAP / BPAP. Don't drink alcohol and caffeine before bedtime. Don't look at screens about 2-3 hours before bedtime. This applies to over 99% of all the individuals they tested. |
