True. Although "have to work in" is artificial in this case since the need is set by management. Factory automation takes out a fair amount of danger to humans in other cases. This has been an idea since ancient times. I'm sort of torn when sh\+ jobs get automated away, as the premise of automation being beneficial overall is that increased economic activity creates not-worse opportunities elsewhere for the displaced. The financially weak are a cornerstone of our economy, I don't see anything better coming for these folks soon. |
