That's probably the right distinction. If copilot allows you to type // source code of linux kernel And you get the whole code, then I would consider it unoriginal The same way your movie example, if you told it Avengers Endgame And it gave you the whole movie, it would also be. But what if you type (like with DallE) Spiderman fighting Thanos and you get something different, but that resembles some Endgame scene. Would that infringe copyright, be fair use, or what? |
