optimistically, 1KW of solar on the roof will yield 35kw per week which will just about charge a 700lb leaf battery. I know my truck will go about 2 miles on only electric up to 20mph even with a 3000lb trailer at about 0.5 miles (1kw battery, 35kw motor) before the gas kicks in. |
