I wonder how this naming scheme continues and why are they skipping over half the numbers given that this set will soon run to 0. 7nm - 5nm - 3nm - 1nm. What’s next?

Intel uses angstroms past 1nm
I can’t wait until the node marketing reaches length-scales smaller than the diameter of hydrogen.
Helium atoms are smaller than hydrogen atoms. Hydrogen ions are just protons so are smaller still.
It's decreasing by 25-30% every time, so after 1nm you'd just go into Angstroms
They're probably trying to get to angstroms as fast as possible, just imagine the marketing copy that a new unit of measurement makes possible!
Why angstroms and not picometers?
