Just because what's popular changes over time it doesn't mean that you have to follow it. I totally dislike most directions tech is going in, serverless, kubernetes as you said and I use mongodb and javascript. What's popular now is more expensive, takes more effort but also makes a lot of companies more money and therein lies the clue to solving the mystery. Forget about these tech that you don't care about, in time things will turn around and what was once unpopular will become popular again. That's the way things goes. IT isn't the only field that has popular culture, everything does more or less. |
