You are just afraid that your java skills will be useless. Instead of panicing and depressing you could save that energy for learning new skills already. And really i dont get that. You know that tech is changing and you still are trying to reject that. Just embrace the change and go with the flow.

Yes, I'm afraid of that. But the tech is changing into something I don't recognize and that I don't like. It's not a change of syntax or type system. If I'm right AWS will replace Java as the enterprise standard. I know that doesn't make much sense on the surface, but I see AWS as a scriptable engine. Just not something I'm excited about. It doesn't look like programming at all. Just product soup configuration.
If AWS is a product soap, Spring Boot is a library soap. This is not fundamentally different.

Are you sure that you are suffering from technological change and not from lack of interest in what problems your code solves?
