Although computer science is not software engineering, the theory underlying design and analysis of algorithms will outlive any specific programming language that implements them. Perhaps it would be good to get more into the theory of the algorithms rather than specific implementations. It is why computer science undergrad education does not emphasise programming as much as the theory, in 50 years the theory will stay. |
